The whole idea of using the Portable Edition of Firefox (or at least an important part of that idea) is to be able to run multiple instances of it, and to be able to run them concurrently and in parallel. To be able to run multiple instances of Firefox Portable, in C:\FirefoxPortable I have put a file FirefoxPortable.ini with AllowMultipleInstances=true and I have deleted the Mozilla folder from %APPDATA%, %LOCALAPPDATA% and %ALLUSERSPROFILE%.
