You find yourself doing onion skins manually, which works, but is really time consuming compared to this software. It turns out that my camera comes with it's own live view software, which is nice, but it doesn't have any of the fantastic features of Dragon Stop motion. BUT, having said that, Dragon Stop motion has a really clean interface, and I found the interface preferable to other stop motion software I have tried. The reason for that is the price seemed a little too high for me. This allows you to control the lighting, camera movements and object movements precisely with the computer.First off: I have only used the demo version. A take is always a different version of the same scene, for example if you make a mistake or want to record a different version of the same scene. You see a live picture preview directly in the program window, and you can use the Onion Skin function to show the previous picture above. If you connect your SLR to the computer, you can remotely control it with Dragonframe. So if you want to use Dragonframe for a real project, you have to buy the software first.
